WHO WE ARE:
We are a working group of the Climate Reality Project's NYC Metro Chapter — a collective that welcomes educators, advocates, artists, & stewards who believe climate action is stronger together. Our mission is to cultivate deep relationships, spark meaningful discourse, and take hands-on action across New York City. We bridge the gap between climate science, policy, & real-world implementation!
FOCUS AREAS:
Water Stewardship: Protecting NYC's waterways through education, science, and hands-on restoration work with marine partners.
Urban Green Spaces: Street tree care, nature walks, & stewardship events across boroughs.
Speaker Series: Bringing together trailblazers, activists, scientists, & community leaders for transformational dialogue.
Community Mixers: In-person & virtual gatherings that connect & build the social fabric of NYC's climate movement.
HOW WE WORK: Strategies for lasting change.
> In-person activation: Each month we organize a key initiative that brings members together around a focused theme — water, urban greening, education, or community resilience. From city-wide festivals and volunteer days to intimate park stewardship events, we partner with aligned organizations to expand our reach and foster hands-on learning, collaboration, and direct climate action.
> Digital engagement: A recurring Zoom series featuring guest speakers, thought leaders, and practitioners driving impact. Smaller virtual gatherings foster open dialogue and peer exchange among members. Join our talks or suggest someone to spotlight!
