Gas Free NYC Rally and Hearing RSVP

The City Council is holding a public hearing on November 17 on Intro 2317, the #GasFreeNYC bill! This comes after months of ardent advocacy from grassroots membership organizations and hundreds of others. If enacted, the bill will end fracked gas use in new construction and gut renovations citywide. It will create good jobs, cut deadly air pollution, and promote environmental justice: a bold shift away from fossil fuels by the largest city in the United States!

We need to show-up big on 11/17 to move the City Council to pass Intro 2317 without delay. Please join us at a virtual rally at 11AM and the virtual Council hearing starting at 12PM. RSVP to join the rally, attend the hearing, or both!

To testify at the hearing, also visit the Council's form here: https://council.nyc.gov/testify/ and select 11/17 Committee on Environmental Protection.

The Gas Free NYC campaign’s core groups are NYPIRG, New York Communities for Change, WE ACT for Environmental Justice and Food & Water Watch. Qs? Reach out to mahearn@nypirg.org
