New York's Leaders on Climate Justice: An Accountability Town Hall
Governor Hochul’s cancellation of congestion pricing and the New York Assembly’s failure to pass vital bills are disastrous for the climate. It’s time to hold our leaders accountable, in person. Join us at a town hall style forum to question Governor Hochul, Attorney General James, and City-wide elected leaders about the accelerating climate crisis.
Hundreds of New Yorkers will gather at the historic New York Society for Ethical Culture concert hall for this special event. We'll be holding our top elected leaders accountable on the top climate, jobs and justice issues that matter to our state and city. We'll have experts who will explain the issues - and then we'll put our questions to Governor Hochul and other top state- and city-level leaders, who we expect to attend.
We can't let our city wither under heat waves while extreme weather events and rising seas inundate New York. We need good, union jobs and investments, especially into low-income communities, to fight the climate crisis.
This event is co-sponsored by 350NYC, Citizen Action of New York, Climate Reality NYC, Food & Water Watch, New York Communities for Change (NYCC), New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), and Strong Economy for All.
